Empowerment
One day a friend made a casual comment to me that he noticed wherever I go children seem to appear. Even in the most unlikely places.
At first I thought this was a quaint observation he made and I forgot all about it. Until one day I saw exactly what he meant. I was on a boat ride out on a whale watch and by the end of the trip two young children were arguing over sitting next to me while an older child kept asking me questions about the water and the whales. Both sets of parents were close by, yet for some reason these children were conversing with me.
Later that same day, a little girl wanted to hold my hand in an elevator. In the late afternoon, still on that very same day while sitting outside a coffee shop on a bench, a young boy climbed out of his stroller and walked straight up to me and said, “Hi.” I said hello back and he started to point and show me the birds surrounding my feet picking up the crumbs from under the bench. He then crawled back into his stroller and waved to me as his mother pushed him around the corner.
In the evening, while helping out at an art gallery, two girls around six years old appeared out of nowhere and started to talk to me about how they believe they are artists too. I ended up in this in deep conversation with them about how everyone is an artist in their own way and we just have to find our inner artist and express it however we want. These two girls were so mature for their ages.
Walking home that same evening from the gallery I had remembered my friend’s observation just a few weeks prior. I realized he’s right. Children do seem to find me no matter where I am and want to seriously engage with me.
I took this new awareness into a meditation the following day to see what would emerge. What I was shown is that the new generations of children carry a vibrational quality of EMPOWERMENT. They naturally have this vibrational quality and when they meet someone who matches this vibration, they gravitate towards them to create a universal synergy. It seems I carry this vibrational quality and therefore, when a child converses with me, we remind each other of empowering others. We engage and connect with mutual respect, understanding, passion, consideration, and hold an empowering place for the other. This exchange and melding of our energies models to others the importance of honoring children and empowering them to be exactly who they are. Of course, this quality is not limited to children. It is a reminder to all of us to have this for all of our fellow humans.
Let me describe this even further. The new children are born with the vibration of empowering the self and others. This is a lot of why some are very strong in character and have very few self esteem issues. They know who they are and have no problem holding space to empower others. I learned through this experience that I was born with a similar vibration, the empowerment of the self and others. I have to admit I have always recognized my ability to empower others; however it took me a long time to have this same acceptance for myself. Empowerment of the self has actually been a lifelong lesson for me.
What I learned is when children and I meet and engage with presence in our conversations or interactions we ignite this vibration of empowerment and create a synergistic experience within our immediate environment. This naturally models and teaches others around us what this vibration feels like and how to integrate it when conversing and sharing – especially with our children. Therefore no matter where the children and I are EMPOWERMENT energy starts swirling around us and anyone in the room and environment innocently experiences it. Through the process of just being, exchanging, and sharing we become role models to others in how to experience empowerment. The more people that can feel this vibration and learn how to work within it the closer we come to changing the paradigm of how we receive each other.
This great new awareness reminded me not only of the empowerment vibration but also of the vital importance of energies meeting and working together. It reminded me of how we are meant to share and merge with other energies to create a strength and potency that we cannot do alone, reiterating the value and magnitude of the beauty of synergy. Connecting with children has nothing to do with me. Children and I finding each other has to do with the synergy that we create together that is meant for others to learn and know.
I am grateful to my friend for bringing to my attention the beauty in children and me connecting on a regular basis. I share all of this with you to open up in you several aspects. The first aspect is EMPOWERMENT. What does this vibration feel like to you? How do you choose to empower yourself? How do you empower your children? How do you empower other children? How do your children empower you?
The second aspect is what synergy do YOU create with others? When your personal power merges with someone else’s what is created? What manifests from the sharing with others? We are not meant to do it alone. What are you meant to create with others?
I will continue to talk, engage, and share with children. I will continue to smile every time a child appears out of nowhere and enters my world. I will smile knowing a bigger picture perspective is being formulated and that everything we do impacts those around us. I invite you to ponder the questions above. If the questions have you stumped--ask a child.
